I very rarely ask someone to pose for a photo.
Almost all my portrait are candid photos and where taken only with the available light.
I sometimes use my flash, usually bounced on a wall or ceiling.
I do believe that taking great portrait is a very hard task and I strongly believe it becomes even harder if you try to get your subject to look natural.. just by asking to do so.
